We’re happy to share that PANCAIM team members will be represented at ECR2025! Taking place 26.02.-02.03.2025 in Vienna, many of our partner Organisations will be attending – check the consortium page to learn more about who’s involved.
If you’ll be there too, please feel free to reach out via the contact form – we look forward to meeting you!
Most of all, we invite you to join us at the 2 presentations organised by PANCAIM team:
Natália Alves (Radboud UMC; Nijmegen) will present the results of her work on uncertainty in use of AI in medicine in her talk “How sure is the AI tool: reporting together with AI certainty scores” (01.03., 14:00)
You will learn about the two main types of uncertainty affecting AI algorithms and their differences, appreciate 3 methods for uncertainty quantification in AI algorithms and how they differ from model calibration, and learn about three applications of uncertainty quantification in radiology workflows and discuss strategies for effectively communicating uncertainty.

Megan Schuurmans (Radboud UMC; Nijmegen) will present for the first time the groundbreaking results of the PANORAMA study “Pancreatic Cancer Diagnosis – Radiologists meet AI” (28.02., 16:00).
The PANORAMA study transparently evaluates – for the first time ever! – radiologists and AI in detecting pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) using contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CECT). Currently, 57 radiologists participate in the study vs 165 registered AI challenge participants across 11 teams.
