We’re happy to share that PANCAIM project was presented at the “PanCKI” World Pancreatic Cancer Congress 2024, organised by PANCAIM parter Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm from 18-20 November, 2024!

This multidisciplinary symposium was dedicated to give a 360 degrees overview on pancreatic cancer including basic and translational research, precision medicine, cancer care as well as an outlook into the future.

PANCAIM Project and its (intermediate) results appeared in many sessions, e.g. presentation by our coordinator Henkjan Huisman, Radboud University Medical Center (RUMC) on “Recent results on imaging and AI in PDAC research”, as well as the talk prepared by Karolinska’s PI in PANCAIM project, Matthias Löhr and Caroline Verbeke (OUS) in her intervention about the biology of PDAC

But the biggest stage for PANCAIM was in the presentation by collaborator Srikrishna Prasad (Siemens Healthineers) of the results of the collaborative paper titled “Retrospective Validation of AI Algorithms for Detection and Prognostication of Pancreatic Ductal Adenocarcinoma (PDAC): A Multicenter Study”! This work represents a significant step forward in leveraging AI for better detection and prognostication of PDAC, a challenging and aggressive form of cancer.

We enjoyed the possibility to present our project work at such a prestigious event and to share our findings with global experts in the field, and the many insightful discussions with fellow clinicians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, physicists, and researchers from across the globe!
